The specially treated connecting strips are designed with excellent physical and geometric properties, which are guaranteed by heat treatment. An additional thin layer of blue oxide and hot wax protects the strips from rusting and reduces friction between the two strips.

These straps are safety-relevant because they have no sharp edges, which reduces the risk of work-related injuries. Thanks to the high processing and special surface treatment, they are resistant to pressures of up to 5 tonnes/cm², which prevents slipping or breakage of the conveyor roller. This allows the belt to be tightened with up to 30% more force, increasing efficiency and safety in use.

In addition, these belts have a higher tensile strength at a lower thickness and width compared to conventional steel belts, allowing optimisation for heavier transport and packaging tasks.

Properties of metallic connecting strips

Flushed and protected: the metal strips are flushed and can be black or zinc powder coated, which provides excellent corrosion protection and increases their durability.
Single winding: in a single winding, the width of the reel is equal to the width of the tape, the inner diameter is 300 mm and the outer diameter is 600 mm.
Cross-winding: in cross-winding, the width of the disc is 63,5 mm, the inner diameter is 406 mm and the outer diameter is 600 mm.
Heavy-duty bundling: metal straps are ideal for bundling heavy objects such as metal products, concrete products and materials in the wood industry.
High breaking strength: The straps provide exceptional breaking strength, allowing heavy and loaded objects to be connected safely and securely.
